Vale Tech

Three kinds of work, from one company.

We build software and AI systems for organizations in British Columbia. We also make the training courses that teach a team to use them.

We carry your project the whole way.

Five stages, from your first email to the years after launch.

  1. Scope the work

    We

We start from the problem and write down what we will build, what it will cost and when each release arrives.

    Your team

You tell us the problem and your budget, and approve the plan.

  2. Build in releases

    We

We build a working version first, then improve it one release at a time.

    Your team

Your team tries each release and tells us what to change.

  3. Privacy and security

    We

We write most of the privacy impact assessment (PIA) and the security threat and risk assessment (STRA), to the standard FOIPPA sets for public bodies. We host client systems in Canada. If a tool must send data outside Canada, the PIA names it and you agree to it first.

    Your team

Your team reviews them and signs them off.

  4. Train your staff

    We

We train the people who will use what we built. Training is priced on its own.

    Your team

Your staff learn it, and new staff learn it the same way later.

  5. Host and maintain

    We

After launch, we host it, support it and maintain it.

    Your team

Your team runs it and owns it: the code, the data, and the notes another developer would need to take it over.

How pricing works

A fixed price per release
Each release gets a fixed price in writing before work starts. You pay for it when your team accepts it.
Sized to your budget
Tell us your budget. We scope a first release that fits it, and each later release builds on it.
Hosting and support by the year
After launch, hosting, support and maintenance cost a fixed yearly fee. We quote it with the build, so you know the cost of year two before you sign.
Courses priced on their own
We quote each course after we see the material. Order one with a build, or on its own.

Start with an email.

Describe the problem in a few lines. We reply with what we would need to know to scope it.
